In any audio circuit, each component the signal must pass through alters, colours, and distorts the original waveform.  The problem with simple circuits is that they can become complicated very quickly in order to fix or mask instabilities or problems caused by using poor components. All these "band-aids" create a longer signal path that your music must travel through.

We use premium components, which are precisely matched, in order to avoid unnecessary "band-aids" which permits the use of simple circuit designs while ensuring low intrinsic noise, high linearity of amplification, and minimal dynamic distortion.  We also build all of our Pre-Amplifier circuits by hand, which eliminates problems caused by stray capacitances inherent within standard PCB manufacturing.
