At Tri-Art Audio, we know that every single source of noise must be reduced, if not eliminated entirely for pure audio fidelity.  One of the most common but nearly unavoidable sources of noise is the 60Hz AC hum that is present when using traditional transformer based power supplies.  You can spend thousands in order to isolate and filter your AC source, but you will never completely eliminate that signal from modulating you music. Our solution is to get rid of the transformer and go straight battery.
Our Battery Packs provide pure DC voltage and one charge can last more than 6 hours.  They are designed to work in conjunction with our AC power supplies, acting as a charger, and, while being charged, they act as a buffer from the AC that is inherent in the AC power supply (our amps and preamps are powered by the battery, and the AC power supply simply recharges the battery).  Tri-Art Audio also recognizes problems associated with batteries.  The most common problem is a general misunderstanding on how and when to recharge a particular type of battery; there are batteries that last longer when they are drained completely before being charged, there are batteries that cannot fall below a certain voltage level, etc.  We make our Battery Pack simple for our users; plug the AC power supply cord into your wall socket and the XLR connector into the Battery Pack input jack, plug the Battery Pack output jack into the power supply input of the device you’re powering and turn on the switches.  If you want to take the AC power supply completely out of the chain, simply turn it off, and the battery will take over completely.  Our batteries like being charged so you don’t have to worry about when to turn the charger off or on.  If the Battery Pack drops below a certain voltage, it will turn itself off, simply turn the charger back on to continue to listen to your music.
